Winnipeggers find their own ways of thawing frozen pipes

That was the CBC News headline March 19 2014.
It seems that many Winnipegers had been without water for 28 days, and the city had only managed to restore water to a few.
At least 1,300 homes and businesses across the city are without running thanks to frozen pipes caused by underground frost that's as deep as 2½ metres in some places.

With that many properties on the waiting list for one of the city's three thawing machines, some people are trying new techniques that are not endorsed by the city.
Some homeowners are finding their own method of success in restoring their water supply.

A Winnipeg homeowner, a Father and husband called Woodsmans International on the morning of March 20th. He was ecstatic.
He and his family had been without water for nearly 4 weeks, and the strain on his family was enormous.
He had purchased Liqui-Fire Pipe Thaw from a local Home Hardware and poured it into his city water supply line.
On March 19th 2014, his water was running again, and he called CBC to report his good fortune.
He called Woodsmans International as well. He was filled with exuberance as he told his story to us on the telephone.

What do I recall about his call?
He stated: "My wife is so happy that she'd kiss you if you were here right now!"
Sadly: the happy Wife and happy Father story did not appear in the CBC article.

CBC News also did not inform the public about Alliance International LLC crimes, nor Home Hardware crimes, nor the Grant Lumber story, nor the Grant Mansion which is the largest mansion in Canada.
