Pulling for Jesus - Pulling for Justice is an incredible true story. Here are a few excerpts from my book that clearly display God's existence. * * * * * Chapter - The Valentine Gift I lived alone and had a fifty minute drive home still. I didn't know what day it was as I hadn't worked since the new year. I could see the bar on the outskirts of town was open and it had a buffet. I walked in and over to the buffet counter to take a look at what food was available. As I was standing there and had began to select my dinner a man there began to yell. "It's him, it's him at the buffet!" he yelled. "That's the guy on the television!" he added. Everyone in the place looked at me then at the television and then at me again. I just turned red. The bar staff told me dinner was on them and the customers all began to applaud. Some came over to shake my hand while others bought me drinks and it was all just a little overwhelming to me. I don't remember much more than everyone thought that what I did was incredible. It wasn't until I was home and later watched the news on television that I discovered it was Valentines Day. Man what a Valentines Day it had been for me. The best one ever! It was priceless!

Chapter - The Knife vs. the Word
I could see his hands were moving inside his coat pockets. He was extremely agitated. His eyes never blinked nor did he look away from me. I was compelled to stare back at him and I couldn't look away. It was as though I was locked by his stare. His eyes were so glazed and yet void of any expression. The tension inside the truck grew enormously thick. Then he spoke these words, "How would you like it if I took my knife and slit your fxxxxxg throat?" In an instant and with the speed of light my index finger of my right hand flew at his nose. It stopped within a quarter of and inch or less. It was as if my finger was pulling my arm and that it was in control. My finger stayed solidly in front of the man's nose as if made of stone. Simultaneously these words came from within, "I'd rather die being a good Samaritan helping people like you than to leave you stranded!" I heard myself speak and the words came from my mouth. Upon those words being spoken the man's glaring stare ended immediately. "Um, ah, You can let me out here," he said humbly. I pulled over without hesitation and stopped as fast as I possibly could. I could hear the lose gravel chink off the bottom side of my pickup truck when I pulled off the highway. With that the man jumped out of my truck back into the dark of that cold rainy night. I was perhaps 25 minutes yet from my home on the lake and remember having tears streaming down my face and I did not stop thanking God for watching over me that night. * * * * *
The miracles in my life have brought me through the toughest of times. They've lifted my spirits and kept me going when I felt all hope was lost.
